It organises your income, tracks your expenses, builds your financial goals, and executes your salary allocation automatically on payday — routing each amount to the destination you chose. The name comes from the Kinyarwanda word "kwiza", meaning to enrich or to prosper.

Who is G.wiza for?

G.wiza is built for anyone earning a regular or irregular income in Rwanda — civil servants, NGO employees, private sector professionals, teachers, nurses, business owners, and freelancers. If you receive money and want it to work harder for you, G.wiza is for you. You do not need to be a financial expert. That is what Advisor Gwiza is for.

How do I sign up?

Go to getgwiza.com, tap "Create account", enter your name, email, and a password. You will be taken through a 4-step onboarding: add your income source, set your first goal, build your allocation plan, and activate it. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

Is G.wiza available as a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

A native app for Android and iOS is currently in development. For now, G.wiza works as a Progressive Web App — you can install it on your phone's home screen from your browser. On iPhone: open G.wiza in Safari → tap the share icon → "Add to Home Screen". On Android: open in Chrome → tap the three dots → "Add to Home Screen". It works like a native app.

G.wiza is free to use for personal financial planning — income tracking, goals, expense logging, budgets, and Advisor Gwiza. A premium tier with advanced features is planned for the future. You will always be notified before any charges apply.

How does the allocation plan work?

After you enter your income, G.wiza helps you split your salary into four buckets: emergency fund, debt repayment, investments, and free cash for daily expenses. You control the percentages using sliders. Advisor Gwiza recommends a starting split (typically 30% emergency fund, 20% debt, 10% investments, 40% free cash) based on your income and goals. When you tap "Commit this plan", G.wiza saves it and prepares to execute it on your next payday.

What happens on payday?

On your payday date, G.wiza activates your allocation plan and routes each amount to its destination. You see the full execution log in Goals → History showing what moved, where it went, and when. If any allocation could not be executed, G.wiza flags it in your dashboard so you can act.

Question 9

What is the free cash ceiling?

Accepted Answer

Free cash is the portion of your salary left after all allocations. G.wiza sets this as your spending ceiling for the month. If you committed 30% to emergency fund, 20% to debt, and 10% to investments, your free cash is 40% of your salary. For a RWF 2,400,000 salary, that is RWF 960,000 for the month — roughly RWF 32,000 per day. G.wiza shows this on your Daily Log so you always know where you stand.

Can I change my plan after committing?

Yes. Go to Goals → Plan Builder, adjust your sliders, and tap "Commit this plan" again. The new plan takes effect from your next payday. Your previous plan is saved in History so you can always see what changed.

What if my income is irregular?

Accepted Answer

G.wiza works for irregular income too. Instead of a fixed monthly salary, you can set your income as the average of your last 3 months. When a payment arrives, you use the Plan Builder to allocate that specific amount. Advisor Gwiza can help you smooth irregular income into a consistent financial plan.

What if I miss a payday or my salary is delayed?

G.wiza checks your account on the payday date you set. If your salary has not arrived, the plan pauses and waits — nothing executes without your money being there. You can update your payday date in Profile → Settings at any time.

Does G.wiza hold my money?

Accepted Answer

No. G.wiza never holds your money. We are a financial planning and instruction platform — not a bank, not a wallet. When G.wiza executes your plan, it sends instructions to MTN MoMo or your bank. They move the money. G.wiza never has access to your funds.

Do you need my bank account credentials or password?

Accepted Answer

Never. G.wiza does not ask for your online banking password, PIN, or any bank credentials. We connect to financial institutions through official APIs and partnerships — the same way M-Pesa connects to banks. Your banking credentials stay between you and your bank.

How is my financial data protected?

Your data is stored in Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified database. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3 — the same standard used by banks. Is G.wiza compliant with Rwandan law?

Yes. G.wiza operates under Rwanda Law N° 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy. We are registered as a data controller with RISA (Rwanda Information Society Authority). We never sell your data to third parties.

Can I delete my account and all my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to Profile → Settings → scroll to the bottom → "Delete my account". This permanently deletes all your data from G.wiza's systems including income, goals, expenses, debts, conversations with Advisor Gwiza, and your account. This cannot be undone.

Can I download all my data?

Yes. Go to Profile → Settings → "Download my data". You will receive a JSON file containing everything G.wiza holds about you — income sources, goals, expenses, debts, execution plans, and your Advisor Gwiza conversation history.

What is Advisor Gwiza?

Accepted Answer

Advisor Gwiza is G.wiza's AI-powered financial advisor. It is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI and trained on Rwanda-specific financial context — BNR T-bill rates, RSE stock prices, Rwandan expense patterns, PAYE tax brackets, RSSB pension rules, and more. You can ask it anything about your finances and it responds with advice specific to your income, goals, and debts — not generic tips from the internet.

Does Advisor Gwiza know my personal financial situation?

Yes. When you ask a question, Advisor Gwiza has access to your income, goals, debts, expenses, and execution plan. This is what makes advice personal rather than generic. Advisor Gwiza can tell you "at your current pace you will reach RWF 7.2M in 38 months" because it knows exactly what you have saved and what you are allocating each month.

Are my conversations with Advisor Gwiza private?

Yes. Conversations are stored securely in your account and are never shared with third parties. They are not used to train AI models. You can delete your entire conversation history at any time from Profile → Settings → "Clear Gwiza conversations".

What investment instruments does G.wiza support?

Accepted Answer

G.wiza tracks and models Rwanda-based instruments including BNR 91/182/364-Day T-bills, 5-Year Government Bonds, RSE listed equities (Bralirwa, Bank of Kigali, Crystal Telecom), and savings products from licensed banks and MFIs. All rates are updated weekly from BNR and RSE official data. You choose which destination each part of your allocation goes to — G.wiza doesn't pick for you.

What is a T-bill and how do I buy one?

A Treasury Bill (T-bill) is a short-term loan you make to the Rwanda Government. The government pays you back with interest after 91, 182, or 364 days. T-bills are the safest investment in Rwanda — backed by the Government of Rwanda with zero default risk. To buy one: open a securities account at a BNR primary dealer (Bank of Kigali, Equity Bank, I&M Bank, or BPR Bank) and submit a non-competitive bid before each Monday auction. The minimum investment is RWF 100,000.

Why does G.wiza show real returns after inflation?

At 9.2% inflation (BNR February 2026), keeping money in an account earning 6% means you are losing 3.2% of purchasing power per year. RWF 1,000,000 in a MoMo savings account today will buy the equivalent of only RWF 968,000 of goods next year. G.wiza shows real returns (nominal rate minus inflation) so you can see which instruments actually grow your wealth and which quietly erode it.

What is the RSE?

The Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) is Rwanda's official stock exchange located in Kigali. It lists shares of companies including Bralirwa (BLR), Bank of Kigali (BOK), Crystal Telecom (CMR), KCB Group, Nation Media Group, and others. You can buy RSE shares through a licensed broker or through your bank's capital markets desk. Historical returns on RSE equities average 15% per year but come with price volatility unlike T-bills.

Yes, for destinations where G.wiza has an active integration. As partnerships with banks and financial institutions expand, G.wiza automatically submits T-bill bids, bank transfers, and other allocations on payday without any manual action from you. For any destination not yet integrated, G.wiza shows the exact steps in your execution plan so you can complete it yourself.

How much does G.wiza cost?

G.wiza is currently free to use in its entirety. All features including Advisor Gwiza, investment simulation, goal planning, and expense tracking are available at no cost. G.wiza earns a small fee (0.5%) when it executes automated transactions on your behalf through MTN MoMo — you only pay when money actually moves and your wealth grows.

Core financial planning features will always be free. A premium tier with additional features — advanced investment analytics, multi-currency support, family accounts, and priority Advisor Gwiza responses — is planned for the future. You will receive advance notice before any pricing changes, and you will always have time to export your data.

Does G.wiza show advertisements?

Accepted Answer

No. G.wiza does not show advertisements and does not allow advertisers to influence the advice Advisor Gwiza gives you. G.wiza's revenue comes from transaction facilitation fees and institutional partnerships — not from selling your attention.
